October of 2013 in search of Osorezan or, "The Gates to Hell," in northern Honshu, Japan. This series of photographs captures feelings of a time gone by in a world otherwise enraptured by artificial lights and illusions. Whole lives are lived outside of the technologically facilitated fantasy of the computer world. Communities press along, interdependent, coexisting, sharing the experience of life. Rife with meaning but lost in the sea of pizzazz. Overlooked and often forgotten. These places offer a reminder of how our choices affect our path through life.
